Now Showing: RWE Clean Energy Family Series
Throwback Movie Series to play at Arlee
Every Saturday from June 1 through August 3, stop by the Arlee Theater to enjoy a family-friendly film, courtesy of RWE Clean Energy. Admission is by donation, and the show starts at 1pm, with a different film each week. This series will have its own lineup that is separate from the usual weekend movie run. RWE Clean Energy is a renewable energy company with over 15 years of experience in the U.S. renewables business. With projects in development, construction, and operations in 45 states, including Illinois, RWE has a proven track record of delivering high quality projects across the U.S. As a long-term owner/operator, RWE is committed to the communities in which they develop. They are currently developing Coyote Road, a 150 MW solar farm in Delavan, Tazewell County, which will produce enough electricity to power 25,000 homes, generate $26 million in new property dollars, and bring hundreds of construction jobs to the area. As a show of RWE’s commitment to being good neighbors and long-term members of the community, they’ve offered to help offset the costs related to playing this wide variety of films so as to both provide families with an extremely budget-friendly entertainment option over the course of the summer, while helping the Arlee raise funds to assist with a renovation project that will help the theater be a more appealing venue for live music artists. Because RWE has generously sponsored the series for the entire summer, all donations made with entry will go toward the Arlee’s upcoming project. Films played will be an assortment of iconic G and PG titles from 1982 through 2023, sure to delight all ages and give parents the unique opportunity to share some of their childhood favorites with the next generation, all while watching them on the big screen. Schedule subject to change.
